Good news for Nebraska's secondary
It looks like it's already been a good week for Nebraska's secondary and no, it isn't because the Cornhuskers don't have a game.
The Lincoln Journal Star's Web site reported Wednesday that cornerback Zackary Bowman plans to return to Nebraska next season. Bowman, who was expected to be a senior starter this past fall, suffered a season-ending knee injury in August.
However, there was some doubt about Bowman coming back as there were reports in NFL draft publications that Bowman, despite the injury, was considering entering this spring's NFL draft.
Prior to news of Bowman's return, it was learned that junior college cornerback Armando Murillo has given his verbal commitment to Nebraska. The 6-foot, 195-pounder is listed as a four-star prospect by Rivals.com.
Murillo, who is expected to enroll at Nebraska in January and take part in spring football, will join Bowman and returning starters Cortney Grixby and Andre Jones in competition for the cornerback spots.
